Legal Notice 146 of 2025: administration fee rises to €60,000, contribution unified at €37,000, spouse and minors exempt from dependant fees, one-year temporary residence permit

What changed

The First Schedule was substituted. The main applicant's non-refundable administration fee became €60,000 (€15,000 on submission, €45,000 within two months of the Letter of Approval in Principle). The government contribution became €37,000 for both the purchase and rental routes. The per-dependant administration fee became €7,500, with the spouse, children under 18 and adult children with a certified disability exempt; the separate per-dependant contribution was removed. Regulation 9(6) added a one-year temporary residence permit available on application, renewable annually if documentation is submitted within six months. Regulations 5, 6A–6C, 8 and 8A introduced direct licensing of agents by the Agency (accountants/auditors, lawyers, licensed financial advisors), annual renewal and a €5,000 annual licence fee (Third Schedule).
